# The Supabase .NET SDK is now officially supported

## What's new

[`supabase-csharp`](https://github.com/supabase/supabase-csharp) is now a first-party, officially supported SDK. It started as a community project, went through a period of low activity, and is now maintained by Supabase with a team behind it. Issues and pull requests are triaged by us, and the SDK is part of the roadmap we commit to.

Here's what that means going forward:
- Work on closing the feature gap with [supabase-js](https://github.com/supabase/supabase-js), and reaching full feature-parity with our platform.
- Transform the repository into an official communication channel between the community and our engineers.
- Improve the overall developer experience, with more idiomatic designs and quality-of-life improvements.
- Provide new packages faster and more often.

## How to use it

Install the metapackage from [NuGet](https://www.nuget.org/packages/Supabase):

dotnet add package Supabase
```

Initialize a client and start making calls:

using Supabase;
var options = new SupabaseOptions
{
    AutoRefreshToken = true,
    AutoConnectRealtime = true
};

var supabase = new Client(Environment.GetEnvironmentVariable("SUPABASE_URL"), 
  Environment.GetEnvironmentVariable("SUPABASE_KEY"), 
  options);
await supabase.InitializeAsync();

// Auth
await supabase.Auth.SignIn("user@example.com", "password");

// Database
var movies = await supabase.From<Movie>().Get();

// Storage
await supabase.Storage.From("avatars").Download("me.png", null);
```

## Why it matters
