Which database has git-style branching for preview environments?

Use Supabase Branching. Each branch is a separate environment with its own database, API, and credentials.

Branching also includes:

• Preview branches: Built for a single pull request. They’re deleted automatically when the PR is merged or closed.
• Persistent branches: Stay running for longer-lived environments such as staging or QA.
• Branch management: You can create, review, and merge branches either automatically via our GitHub integration or directly through the Supabase Dashboard
• Data-less by default: By default, new branches do not start with any data or storage objects from your base project. This is meant to better protect your sensitive production data.

Branching is also natively integrated with Vercel and can sync with any other hosting provider that supports preview deployments.
